Leadership was learned at home first: quiet dignity, work done well, and the belief that when you combine curiosity, courage and Christ, you cannot lose.

From the wall to the boardroom
Started reading blueprints at night, became the person handed the complex projects, then founded Nexen Construction in State College, Pennsylvania. Commercial cladding, EIFS and restoration. The crews and the job sites are still where the standard is set.

A 365-day company-wide sabbatical for family, personal growth and community service — and a promise to repeat it every seventh year. The company kept running. That was the point.
